What Margin is
Margin is a free study tool made by a student for students taking EC120 (Introduction to Microeconomics). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or run by Wilfrid Laurier University or any course instructor. The notes and questions are study aids. They can contain mistakes and don't replace the textbook, the lectures, or official information on MyLS.
Using it fairly
- Use Margin to study. Don't use it during a test or in any way your course's academic integrity rules don't allow.
- Don't try to break, overload, or scrape the site, or access other people's accounts.
What we store
- Guests: your progress is saved only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to us.
- Accounts: your first name, email, a scrambled (hashed) password, and your study progress (which cards and questions you've done, notes marked read, mock scores, and any worked-problem answers you type). This lets you switch devices.
- We use one cookie to keep you logged in. No ads, and we never sell or share your data.
- Usage stats: we count anonymous totals (daily visits, questions answered, cards reviewed, mocks finished) and use Vercel Web Analytics for cookie-free, aggregate page views. None of this is linked to your name or email.
Deleting your data
Open Account → Delete my account to permanently remove your account and progress.

Margin is provided as-is, for free. We do our best to keep the content accurate and the site running, but we can't guarantee either, and we're not responsible for exam results.
